It’s here! A year has flown by and it’s once again time for what’s become my favourite film festival — Hot Docs!
This year’s fest will unspool some 189 documentaries from 51 countries, with subjects ranging from the ordinary to the mind-blowingly bizarre.
I’ve already seen a half-dozen of the films and will be posting those capsule reviews shortly. My first official screening is tomorrow afternoon and then, per usual, my day-by-day blogging from the fest will begin on Saturday. I’m hoping to catch about 25 to 30 docs over the next 10 days, and I’ve stocked my cupboards with film-friendly snacks. I’m excited and ready!
