Avatar may have made the most money ever, but I wasn’t not a fan. All flash with spray-cheese substance, the film went over-the-top with its remarkable visuals, leaving less than a comic book storyline remaining for the script. Honestly, I’m not very optimistic about Avatar: The Way of Water, considering the trailer still has the uncanny valley for eyes, the weird, unnatural CGI smiles, and awkward acting. But we do get Sigourney Weaver miraculously returning, but this time as a 14-year-old girl. So there’s that. Still, I’m sure a LOT of people are excited about this one. After all, fans have waiting 13 years for James Cameron’s follow-up.
Avatar: The Way of Water opens in theaters everywhere December 16, 2022.
