American audiences have been oh-so patient. American audiences have been sitting on their hands to avoid the temptation of searching for spoilers on the internet (why oh why do we have to wait months after the Brits for the new episodes?!?!?). While the Americans are drying their eyes after the dramatic turns in the most recent episode that just aired on PBS (nope, won’t find spoilers here!), the cast is celebrating last night’s SAG award for best ensemble in a drama series (yay!). But the wait is over! Downton Abbey Season 3 is finally out in the U.S. on Blu-ray and DVD, Tuesday, January 29th!
The three disc set includes the special post-Season 3 episode A Journey to the Highlands, which just aired in the UK on Christmas Day, as well as over two hours of bonus material. Get a glimpse into the stellar art direction and costume design as the plot moves forward into 1920. Things are definitely changing, despite Lord Grantham’s resistance (go, Edith!).
Don’t pretend you aren’t going to buy it immediately and race through the final few episodes before they air on TV. (But please be kind, don’t spoil it for your friends that have to wait!)
