HotDocs Launches Online Documentary Library

Our Rating

MPAA Rating: G

Can’t get enough Canadian documentaries?

HotDocs has just launched the cure for whatever might ail you in that regard with the Doc Library!

Featuring hundreds of Canadian documentary shorts and features, including many that have screened at past HotDocs festivals or Doc Soup events, the library will also afford users the opportunity to leave feedback, create playlists and further explore the filmmakers’ work via links to relevant websites.

Oh, and the best part? It’s totally FREE!

HotDocs managing director Brett Hendrie explains, “HotDocs at its core is all about the sharing of outstanding documentaries and stories with eager audiences. And, with the new Doc Library, we will be able to further this sharing while focusing in on stories that are uniquely Canadian, stories that are largely by Canadians for Canadians but are also relevant to the rest of the world.”

And, as a hardcore doc fan, I say, “Bravo!”

Check it out for yourself, and happy viewing!
