Critics’ Choice Awards go to “Argo”, Affleck, Day-Lewis, and Chastain

January 10, 2013–On the same day that Ben Affleck got snubbed for an Oscar nomination for directing “Argo”, he can at least take some comfort in the fact that the critics (vs. his peers in the industry) like him, they really like him. The Critics’ Choice Movie Awards gave their top honor of Best Picture to “Argo”, and awarded Affleck Best Director.
